Why can’t I upload via FTP directly from LightRocket and why should I use FTP for uploads anyway?

Our FTP upload page outlines instructions for uploading from an FTP program but you can’t upload your files via FTP directly on that page. The FTP upload page includes a link to our recommended FTP software (FileZilla) and your personal login details, including the name of your remote folder which is encrypted so nobody else can access it.

We recommend using FTP (which means File Transfer Protocol) software if you’re planning on uploading large volumes of files.

For smaller uploads use the drag and drop uploader, which allows you to upload directly via your browser when logged in to LightRocket.
